The Ardèche has some of Europe's best rivers for fresh-water fishing. From fast-running mountain streams stocked with trout to the wider and slower moving rivers around the Ardèche Gorges you can fly fish or cast a spinner or just sit on the river bank with a line and reel and take it easy while you wait for that big pike to bite!
A license is required and there are special seasons for some types of fishing as well as 'no kill' zones along some parts of the rivers.
